Think Outside The Bowl…
Right now, it is bat-shi…poop hot in Seattle and I am squeezing every ounce of creative juice to find new and ingenious ways to keep cool and stop sweating like a pig. I hate air conditioning because it really dries out my skin and having a face that resembles a rhino’s behind is not a good look! There is also a team of construction workers working right in front of my condo every day, so stripping off and baring all is definitely not a viable option. So how else to keep my cool? I feel another Ice Pop Recipe coming on!
There is something deeply satisfying about tucking into a bowl of crunchy cereal doused in ice cold milk on a summers morning. But why are we only encouraged to enjoy this delicious dish for breakfast?
Well, be bound by the breakfast box no more, for this has to be one of the tastiest ways to get your cereal fix, while keeping your cool, during tropical mornings, scorching afternoons AND balmy evenings – Cinnamon Toast Crunch Ice Pops! To make these Cinnamon Toast Crunch Ice Pops I used the following equipment:
You can buy these and other cool products featured from the Arugula & Rocket Store online.
Cinnamon Toast Crunch Ice Pops
- 3 Cups Full Fat Milk
- 3 Tbsp Condensed Milk
- 2½ Cups Cinnamon Toast Crunch Cereal
Pour the milk and the condensed milk into a large bowl and stir to combine.
Add 1½ cups of cereal. Stir and leave to steep for 15 minutes.
Using a sieve, strain the milk away from the cereal, keeping the milk and discarding the cereal.
Add some fresh cereal to the bottom of each ice pop mould.
Fill the moulds with the cereal infused milk.
Freeze until solid, approximately 5 hours.
